Nanasai Kobo, we made cloisonne craft paintings using the technique of "Dyeing Cloisonne", which is the traditional way of Kyoto cloisonne ware. We want to spread the unique charm of Cloisonne: its beautiful color and the unique luster. We are sending out a new sense of cloisonne that suits the modern lifestyle from Uji, Kyoto.

渋紙で型をつくり、版画のようにガラス質の釉薬を重ねて高温で焼き付けます。

この作業を何度も繰り返し、七宝絵画を完成させていきます。

一枚の絵画を制作するのに、多くて15種類もの型を使います。

ひとつひとつ手作業で行うため、釉薬の厚みのわずかな違いも作品に影響し、異なる表情が出てきます。

機械のように均一には作れない、手作業ならではの個性も七宝焼の魅力です。
